![]() After being in the elevator and on the floors of this hotel, albeit creepy, a human being was definitely to blame for this poor girls untimely death. There are only 2 elevators from the small boutique lobby up to each floor and there are also open staircases that are adjacent to the elevators that go to each floor. The staff told us upon check in that we were going to be staying in the "newer" part of the hotel which is called "the stay on main" just to be clear, floor twelve is not new nor an addition to the Cecil hotel, but I believe they renamed it due to the stigma that came along with all the tragedy that's taken place up there over the years. When we stayed there we were put on the 12th floor and they no longer associate that floor as part of the Cecil hotel. As you know, it housed the infamous serial killer Richard Ramirez (although he had never killed anyone there). If you further look into The Cecil it has quite a shady past and has been home to numerous suicides (people jumping off the roof and "falling" out the higher floor windows or taking a shotgun to the face) from the time it was built until present day. I am someone who very much believes in the paranormal but after staying in this hotel, albeit creepy, I can tell you that I definitely think foul play was at hand and it was either a hotel employee or resident. One could very easily climb out and up the ladder to the roof. There are fire escapes from each floor, that are basically big windows, that are open and have no screens, glass or closing mechanism. I lived in LA and my fiancé, myself and two of our friends got rooms there on my birthday and I can tell you from first hand experience the rooftop is quite easily accessible. I actually became quite intrigued with this story as it had so many mysterious and unanswered parts to it. What do you think of these theories? And, what do YOU believe really happened to Elisa Lam? I personally have my own theory, but the ones above are certainly interesting! The other, more intriguing theory, is that Elisa was playing a paranormal game, known as the "elevator game " that takes you to another world. The elevator doesn't recognize her presence due to her being deceased. ![]() Some believe it's because Elisa had actually died earlier, and the woman in the video is actually Elisa's ghost. One theory is, Elisa is in the elevator for a long time, and the elevator door just won't close. However, some people believe something paranormal took place that led to her death/disappearance. There have been many theories on her death, such as, accidental drowning, her being murdered by Richard Ramirez, and even Illuminati sacrifice. (Also, YouTube search Elisa Lam Elevator Video) If not here's a link to catch you up on her case: I'm sure some of you are familiar with the mysterious case of, Elisa Lam the young girl who's body was discovered in the water tank at the notoriously seedy, Cecil Hotel in, Los Angeles, California, USA.
